Star On A TV Show
At No.14, on “The Top 50 UK Singles Chart”, the week of my 3rd Birthday, is The Stylistics with Star On A TV Show.
It’s a welcome return…
…for the Stylistics, after appearing in this UK chart on my previous birthday; and where that last entry had been a more exceptional upbeat number, this latest offering is a familiar groove that everyone is used to at this point.
It seems that, since that hit this time last year, the band were chugging out a new track for nearly every season, with each follow up breaking the Top 10. It’s also apparent that their achievements are not solely attributed to the band either, with one of their previous hits getting a new lease of life further back in this very chart.
They truly were becoming the sound of a generation, and it appears that stylistic juggernaut is showing no signs of slowing up just yet.
The single…
…had entered about a month ago on the 19th of January at No.34, and had then jumped up ten places the following week to close out that month at No.24.
February begins with it climbing another six places, and then a further six which took it up to No.12 last week. However, it slips back a couple of positions when it arrives here.
From here…
…it gives way another four places at the end of this month, before cascading back out of the Top 30; and from there it will be only one further week before it leaves completely after the 15th of March with 8 more weeks to add to the group’s impressive collection.
