Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Roll On Down The Highway

At No.30, on “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart”, the week of my 3rd Birthday, is Bachman-Turner Overdrive with Roll On Down The Highway.
Slip-streaming, revving,..
…and snapping at the heels of this Canadian rock band’s previous smash, which had only just recently left the UK chart at the beginning of this month after almost making it to the top, with nice and tidy 12 weeks, this latest single lets rock further along their powerful highway of success, and with the promise of their first headlining UK dates lining up in the late spring this year (with Irish rockers Thin Lizzy as support), the band are gearing up for quite literally their most humongous year so far.
The single…
…had driven into the chart at No.44 on the 26th of January, and by this month of February, had roared into the Top 30, accelerating during its third week to hit a peak position of No.22, before it lets go a little, falling back to the No.30 position, this week.
From here…
…it drops another two places, before a bigger drop takes it back down the grid to No.46, and then back out of the chart, rolling off into the sunset with another 6 weeks to add to the band’s tally so far.
