The Archive of my Life – About Me
“You were such a cutie, what happened”..?
Hi, my name’s Adrian.
I love records, I love music. I love collecting.
I always have and always will.
My life has literally revolved around an archive of music and media. The sounds I’ve listened to and the visuals I’ve watched, whether it’s TV or film.
On here I will personally include my memories of living throughout over 5 decades.
Honestly, I could write my life story around it.
So that’s what I did.
And the only way I could see myself doing it justice was to start a recollective journal.
And it’s called “The Archive Of My Life”.
It’s at this point that I’m going to take a leaf out of Phil Collins’ autobiography (as I feel it suits this purpose…and he pretty much explains it better than I can).
“What you are about to read is my life, as seen through my eyes.
It might not comply with the memories of others involved, but it’s the way I remember it.
I’ve held a lifelong belief that we all have our ‘camera shutter’ moments, when we will all remember a scene differently, or we don’t remember a scene at all.
Sometimes that memory can shape a person’s life, yet other people involved don’t even recollect it”.
I’ve initially accumulated my life into two sections.
The first is those moments that had a musical soundtrack to accompany that time.
So I thought it fitting that I name the first phase of the project ‘My Musical Road’.
For the second part, I will also one day archive video memories of TV shows still locked away on dusty video cassettes, but that’s for another day.
So anyway, going back to that first quote at the top of the page.
“You were such a cutie, what happened”..?
It was asked by my little sister not so long ago.
And, with this project, going back to the very beginning, I’m going to answer it.
