Faces
A Nod’s As Good As A Wink…To A Blind Horse
At No.5, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is the Faces with “A Nod’s As Good As A Wink…To A Blind Horse”.
The Faces’ third album,..
…bolstered by the success of their single “Stay With Me” currently in the U.K. Singles Chart, and Rod’s current third album also still having massive success further down in this chart, meant that this Faces album was still enjoying it’s shining time in the Top 10 since landing into it upon entry, at No.10, the week leading up to Christmas Day 1971.
“A Nod’s As Good As A Wink…” had managed to get all the way up to No.2 on the U.K. Album Chart for the first week of February 1972 before slipping back a few positions.
Still, after this chart of the 20th of that month they will go on to spend another couple of weeks in that club before falling back further.
They’ll disappear entirely with this album after mid-May before popping back in for one more week to see in the month of June.
I’ve created my own separate playlists for both Sides 1 and 2 of this album with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.

Side 2
Many thanks go to the YouTube’s Faces channel for providing the chance to hear the tracks so that together we can experience both sides of this album release, as it was intended, once again.
