Osibisa
Wɔyaya
At No.43, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is Osibisa with “Wɔyaya”.
Osibisa were starting the second half…
…of a 6 week run which had seen them reach No.11 a couple of weeks before.
The group’s 2nd album, “Wɔyaya” (a word from the Ga language of the Ga-Dangme people of Ghana which translates as “We are going”), had entered the chart at the end of January at No.35 and had reached it’s peak position the following week.
After this week’s position of No.43, it will improve it’s sales to send it to No.35 and then up again to No.28.
It will then drop out of the chart, only to reappear for one further week at No.36 from the 19th March.
