Melanie
Will You Love Me Tomorrow

At No.43, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart”, the week of my 2nd Birthday, is Melanie with Will You Love Me Tomorrow.
This popular song,..
…which The Shirelles recorded and released some 14 years earlier in 1960, gets a new lease of life now from Melanie.
This young songstress, originally from Queens, New York, although since relocated with her family to New Jersey, has found this will be the first time she’s visited the UK Singles Chart since her phenomenal success with Brand New Key a couple of years before; and with her own interpretation of this familiar tune, with words by Gerry Goffin and music by Carole King, it was a great opportunity to stop by once again.
This single…
…had been a New Entry last week, when it landed at No.45.
This week, it climbs just a couple of places from that entry point.
From here,..
…it will scale up further, as it rises to its high point next week when the single hits No.37.
After that, there will be another couple of weeks in the chart, where the song will hover around the Top 40 location, before it makes tracks after the 16th of March.
