Pagliaro
Lovin’ You Ain’t Easy
At No.42, on the the U.K. Top 50 Singles Chart the day I am born, is Pagliaro with “Lovin’ You Ain’t Easy”.
Michel Pagliaro was enjoying his 2nd week out of 6,..
…in the U.K. Top 50 Singles at this time.
The French Canadian rock star from Montreal, Quebec, who predominantly recorded his songs in his native French language, scored a U.K. chart hit with this English sung interpretation.
Michel had been releasing singles since he was 18 years old,..
…usually with the group ‘Les Chanceliers’, such as “À Paris la nuit” (“In Paris at night”), which was released back in 1967 when he was 19.
It would take another three years…
…before he would begin to release any songs in the English language, such as this one from 1970, “Give Us One More Chance”. However nothing would chart in the U.K. for another couple of years.
This current, and one and only single…
…that has reached the U.K. Singles Chart to date, will climb further up after this week, and break into the Top 40, before stalling a further week later at No.31 at the beginning of March, just denying him a Top 30 single.
The song will spend another couple of weeks, as it falls back through the numbers, eventually leaving after the 25th of that month.
