Crazy Horses
At No.40, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is The Osmonds with “Crazy Horses”.
A personal favourite…
…which I featured previously on my musical road, due to it charting in my first year.
As I’d written previously, “Crazy Horses” had entered the chart, at No.27 on the 5th of November the year before, when I was around 8 and a half months old.
With Donny’s current solo effort already mentioned in the same chart, 1973 was already shaping up to be an even bigger year than the last, for the brothers.
“Crazy Horses” had climbed all the way to No.2…
…in the first few weeks of it’s chart run in late 1972, only to be denied the No.1 position for 3 weeks in a row by Chuck Berry’s “My Ding-a-Ling”!
By this week of my first birthday in February 1973, the single only has a couple more weeks of chart action left here in the U.K.
Next week it will slip back to No.43 and spend the week after at the same position before galloping off altogether.
