That’s When The Music Takes Me

Neil Sedaka

At No.36, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is Neil Sedaka with “That’s When The Music Takes Me”.

Neil, the hit maker of so many singles…

…in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, was starting to enjoy a new lease of life which would go on into the mid 70’s and beyond.

This single, which has backing from an up and coming British band you may have heard of – 10cc – is a new entry this week.

Neil Sedaka and 10cc

From here,..

…he will break into the Top 30 next week, and ultimately also break the Top 20, when he’ll hit his best position of No.18 on the 18th of March.

He’ll then spend the second half of his U.K. run falling down the chart before it takes leave of him after the 28th of April.
