Neil Sedaka
A Little Lovin’

At No.34, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart”, the week of my 2nd Birthday, is Neil Sedaka with A Little Lovin’.
It’s great to see Neil again…
…in the UK Singles Chart around my birthday, a year on from when he first showed up along my Musical Road.
This lead single…
…from the native New Yorker (born in Brooklyn and raised at Brighton Beach) came at a transition period, as he’d just left RCA, a label he’d been with since the late 1950’s, and was now looking forward to the future with Polydor.
This is the lead single to his forthcoming album “Laughter In The Rain“, which is scheduled to be released during the summer.
The single…
…had charted a short while before, right on the edge at No.50, on the 3rd of February, before climbing up into the Top 40 to sit at No.35. This week it climbs one further place to No.34 and this will become its peak position.
From here,..
…it slips back to No.35 again next week from where it will quietly fall away again until it leaves, with 6 weeks to keep, after the 16th of March.
