At No.3, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is Paul Simon with “Paul Simon”.
Paul’s 2nd solo album,..
…and first breakout solo effort since the official split with Art Garfunkel, enters the U.K. Album Chart this very week at this position.
While at the same time also gaining attention in the U.K. Singles Chart, his album will make it 3 weeks at this No.3 position before making the leap to the top of the pile in mid-March.
After that big week at the No.1 spot, he’ll look forward to a further ten weeks in the Top 10.
His eponymous album will ultimately spend a total of 24 weeks in the U.K. Album Chart, departing in the first week of August and going some way to lay the past to rest.
I’ve created my own separate playlists for both Sides 1 and 2 of this album with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.

Many thanks goes to the Paul Simon Official YouTube Channel (@officialpaulsimon) for providing the chance to hear the tracks so that together we can experience both sides of this album release, as it was intended, once again.
