Miki Antony
If It Wasn’t For The Reason That I Love You
At No.29, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is Miki Antony with “If It Wasn’t For The Reason That I Love You”.
Miki,..
…who was born Michael Antony Derrick, but changed his name by deed poll in the late 1960’s after achieving some success as a songwriter under his pseudonym, was a week away from getting his highest position with this single.
He’d entered the U.K. Chart back on the 28th of January at No.47 and had spent the next 3 weeks fighting his way into the Top 30.
Next week he will manage a couple of places higher, to get this single to it’s peak at No.27, before spending a further 2 weeks tumbling back down until leaving after the 17th of March with a total of 7 weeks on chart.
