Deep Purple
Fireball

At No.29, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is Deep Purple with “Fireball”.
This will be the 2nd to last week…
…on the UK album Chart for this Deep Purple LP, and the last week of an impressive consecutive 24 week run which has seen it smash into the chart at No.5 on the 12th of September 1971 and leap up to claim the No.1 position a week later.
They will end up spending 7 of those 24 weeks in the Top 10.
After spending the Autumn of ’71 and the Winter through to ’72 they will take leave of the chart for a few months but be back for one final week at No.35 at the beginning of May.

I’ve created my own separate playlists for both Sides 1 and 2 of this LP with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.
