Detroit Emeralds
Feel The Need In Me

At No.21, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart”, the week of my 1st Birthday, is the Detroit Emeralds with “Feel The Need In Me”.
As we approach the Top 20…
…of this U.K. Chart, we progress from the soulful laid back sounds of the previous chart entries, and begin feeling the first hints of Disco, with this single from the Detroit Emeralds, who have leapt 10 places this week to this position.
The single had entered the U.K. chart the week before last, at No.42 on the 4th of February.
Next week will see another impressive jump when it lands into the Top 10 at 10, and a couple of weeks further, it will hit it’s own peak position, when it gets to No.4 on the 11th of March.
A couple more weeks in the Top 10 will ensue, before a very slow fall back down the numbers, as the British public, getting a liking for this fresh type of sound, hang on to this song.
It will finally leave the Top 20 mid-April, the Top 30 as the year turns to May, and then finally feeling the need to leave after 19th of that month.
