Carly Simon
No Secrets
At No.11, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is Carly Simon with “No Secrets”.
With the success of Carly’s smash single still performing well in the U.K Singles Chart,..
…it’s no surprise that the album it came from was performing just as well.
Carly’s third album, but first to hit the U.K. Album Chart, was one place higher than it’s single counterpart, and behaving just the same, as it had also just left the Top 10, just like the single.
It had entered the album chart on the 14th of January at No.17, and had shot up to Top 5 by it’s second week. By week 3, it had hit No.3, it’s highest position here in the U.K. as January turned into February.
After slipping to No.7 the week after, it went back to No.3 for a second week from the 11th of February.
After this week, the album will slip back to settle mid chart for the majority of it’s stay, eventually falling out altogether in mid July.
There will be other appearances, and way off into my future it will pass through another of my birthdays, and that’s where we’ll catch up on this album’s journey then.
I’ve created my own separate playlists for both Sides 1 and 2 of this album with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.
