Motown Chartbusters Volume 8
At No.41, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart”, the week of my 2nd Birthday, is Motown Chartbusters Volume 8.
The hitmakers from Hitsville…
…are back again with another eclectic collection of chart successes which have made an impression here and in the States.
Now on it’s 8th volume…
and now entering it’s 7th year, the sheer unadulterated talent emanating from the studios at Motown has never sounded better; and some of these are lesser known tracks. If they’d opened the gates a little wider, they could have easily pushed this as a double album, such is the quality of every artist on their books, and then some.

…re-enters this week for a second run in the charts.
It had first appeared last autumn when it had shot into the Top 10 at No.9 on the 28th of October 1973, and had then sat at that position into the middle of November, before making a slow descent back down and falling out after the 29th of December.
It’s first re-appearance occured earlier this year in the middle of January, spending the next 4 weeks mainly in the mid-chart region before it again slipped back out after the first week of this month of February.
Now it was back again after only a week away.

…this compilation will climb a couple more places to break back into the Top 40 at No.39, but this will end up becoming it’s last week on chart to date; busting out after the 2nd of March with a non-consecutive tally of 15 hit-filled weeks.
