Motown Chartbusters Volume 7
At No.45, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is “Motown Chartbusters Volume 7″.
The music-makers from Detroit…
…were just finishing off a run of 14 weeks which had seen this latest album of hits, with its interactive album sleeve, from the illustrious Tamla Motown label, first enter the U.K. Chart on the 19th of November the previous Autumn at No.44, before taking a leap in 2 weeks to it’s highest position into the Top 10 at No.9 at the beginning of December.
The weeks after this peak would see the album settle in or around the Top 20 for the majority of its stay, only dropping more sharply a couple of weeks before this one.
A quick break will see the album pop back in for a week at No.43 commencing the 4th of March, and finally one further week from the 18th of the same month, when it swaps the digits around and lands at No.34, taking its tally up to 16 weeks in total.
I’ve created my own separate playlists, for Sides 1 and 2 of this album with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.
