James Last
The Music Of James Last
At No.46, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is James Last with “The Music Of James Last”.
James is just finishing off an initial 5 week run…
…in the U.K. Album Chart this week, which had seen him enter with this retrospective album back on the 21st of January while also securing its highest position at No.19.
After taking a quick break after this week, the Bremen-born bandleader will be back on the 4th of March when he’ll enter four places lower at No.23.
After tipping out for a 2nd time after the 17th, he’ll pop back in at No.34 for the last week of March before disappearing again.
The album will return a 4th time, for 3 weeks, when it enters again, this time at No.48 on the 8th of the April, and then rattle around the lower echelons before he’s off again after the 28th of the same month.
The last week-long appearance won’t happen for over another year when this album makes one final Summer visit at No.48 from the 23rd of June 1974, thus completing a total of 12 weeks on Chart.
I’ve created my own separate playlists, as complete as I can get them, for both Record 1, Sides 1 and 2 and Record 2, Sides 3 and 4, of this album with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.
Record 1, Side 1
Record 1, Side 2 (Track 3 Unavailable)
Record 2, Side 3
Record 2, Side 4
Many thanks goes to the the following YouTube channels, for providing the chance to hear the tracks so that together we can experience both sides of of both records, of this album release, as it was intended, once again.
