At No.9, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is The Partridge Family Starring: David Cassidy with “Looking Thru The Eyes Of Love”.

A year on from their appearance in the U.K. Chart…

…on the day I was born, The Partridge Family were back, albeit with a slight difference.

No.47 on “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my Birth Day

As the previous year progressed, the “Family’s” eldest son was outgrowing the others.

David Cassidy’s popularity was such now that he was awarded star billing, separate from the rest of his co-stars, and it wouldn’t be long now before he flew the family nest altogether.

The single itself was enjoying its highest position this week.

It had entered the chart on the 28th of January at No.49 and climbed to within two places of hitting the Top 20 the following week.

By week 3, it had jumped a further eight places to No.14, before breaking into the Top 10 this week.

Next week, they will keep hold of this same position before jumping back out to No.15 a week later.

Slipping a further place a week after to No.16, they will fall back to hover inside the Top 30 for a couple more weeks before getting the bus out of town after the last day of March.
