Cat Stevens

At No.38, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is Cat Stevens with “Can’t Keep It In”.

Cat Stevens…

…(later he would change his name to Yusuf) was another artist to add to the tally spending their last week in the chart with this single.

This one, the follow-up to the immensely successful “Morning Has Broken” which had been in the U.K. chart a year before, had previously entered the chart with his latest single at No.49 on the 3rd of December 1972.

“Can’t Keep It In”…

…would climb steadily during the Winter to ultimately reach its highest position of No.13  near the end of January 1973.

It would then stay in the Top 20 for another couple of weeks before its descent back down the chart, with this current week completing a total of 12 weeks.

The “A” Side

The “B” Side
