The Moody Blues

At No.39, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Singles Chart” on my 1st Birthday, is The Moody Blues with “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)”.

For one of the band’s livelier songs…

…it proved to be a quiet chart run here in the U.K. for this single, which would be their last before taking a 5 year break so as to concentrate on solo projects.

It fared much better in the U.S.

“I’m Just A Singer…”

…had entered the U.K. Singles Chart a couple of weeks previously at No.43 on the 4th of February, climbing to No.36 the following week.

That would ultimately be this single’s highest position for the group, and after slipping to No.39 this week, will fall out of the Top 40 next week at No.41 before departing the Top 50 chart altogether after the 3rd of March.
