Melanie
Gather Me
At No.21, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is Melanie with “Gather Me”.
While Melanie Safka (better known as Melanie) had her hit single “Brand New Key” sailing up the UK Singles Chart,..
…so “Gather Me” was doing the same in the U.K. Album Chart.
The LP entered at the beginning of the new year and would ride into the Top 20 a couple of weeks after that, reaching it’s highest point of No.14 on the 6th of February, 2 weeks before this chart.
It will disappear for a week after the 18th of March before returning for another week to see out the same month.
One more break will then see it return for the last time to live out it’s final week at the end of April.
I’ve created my own separate playlists for both Sides 1 and 2 of this album with (I hope) the correct versions and the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.
