Strawbs
Grave New World
At No.25, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is the Strawbs with “Grave New World”.
The 4th studio album by the Strawbs…
…had just entered the chart this very week and will go on to have three separate visits in total during 1972.
After entering at this position, it will go on to break the Top 20 next week and by mid-March will stop just shy of the Top 10 by getting to it’s highest position of No.11.
This first run of 9 weeks will conclude on the 22nd of April.
A new 4 week run will cover almost all of May and the third and final couple of weeks will play out during the first 2 weeks of June giving the band a grand total of 15 weeks in the UK Album Chart.
I’ve created my own separate playlists for both Sides 1 and 2 of this LP with the original track sequencing order for the U.K. release.
