James Taylor

Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon

James Taylor

At No.31, on the “The Top 50 U.K. Albums Chart” on the day I am born, is James Taylor with “Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon”.

Another James.

This time it was Mr. Taylor with his latest release.

Sweet baby James Taylor was coming soon to a respectable end of his UK Album Chart journey by the time we catch him here.

“Mud Slide Slim” had charted way back in the late Spring of 1971, the 23rd of May to be precise, and had gone straight in at No.4, the highest position it would achieve.

For about two thirds of the album’s stay it would  keep within the confines of the Top 20 and would again achieve it’s No.4 position as September turned to October that year.

It’s last week of this 41 week streak will arrive as February turns into March 1972.

But, he’ll pop his head back in for a final week in mid-March before he drifts away into that blue horizon.
